1. Skimming
Skimming the top of your swimming pool to remove debris regularly is one of the quickest ways to help keep your pool clean. Floating materials will eventually sink to the bottom of your pool making it much more difficult to remove. Not only does skimming help to keep your pool looking its best but it also helps increase the effectiveness of your pools circulation system. 2. Maintain water levels
During the summer months, your pool water level will fluctuate more so than in the months where the pool is not in use due to things like evaporation, splashing and general entering and exiting of the pool. Make sure to regularly check the water level, ensuring it doesn’t drop too low and risk causing damage to your pump.
3. Scrub
No one likes to see algae growing in their beautiful swimming pool. Get the kids to jump in and give the sides of the pool a good scrub to prevent algae getting the upper hand and turning your pool water green.
4. Look after your suction/robotic cleaners

5. Keep away
Make sure to keep plants and vegetation away from your pool. Bird droppings are highly acidic, so by having plants overhanging or close to the edge of your pool where birds can sit, you increase the chance of their droppings falling into your pool and affecting your chemical levels. Not to mention it’s not very appealing.
